After opening as a beta launch over the weekend, applications for President Joe Biden’s student loan forgiveness are now live.
The program is expected to help as many as 8 million Americans with debt relief by eliminating as much as $20,000 of student debt.
The application for debt relief can be found on the StudentAid.Gov website and is a very simple process that takes no more than three minutes to complete. The Department of Education is expected to start processing the applications later this month. People have until December 31, 2023, to apply and be considered for the loan forgiveness program.
